Andrea Wirth is a Science Librarian and Associate Professor in the Center for Digital Scholarship and Services and the Teaching and Engagement Department (TED) at Oregon State University Libraries and Press. Her areas of expertise and interest include collection development and management, scholarly communication, and support for students and faculty in the earth and environmental sciences. In the Center, Andrea is part of a team that facilitates the addition of OSU research articles to the institutional repository, consults with faculty on OSU’s Open Access Policy, and serves as a member of the Collection Development Council. As a member of TED, Andrea contributes to the overall instruction program of the OSU Libraries. Additionally, she is active in the American Library Association, currently serving as Chair – Elect of the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) Collection Management Section and as an instructor for two ALA ALCTS online professional development courses. She received her bachelor’s degree in geology from Oregon State University and her master’s in library science from the University of North Texas.
