Since 2008 Denise Pan supports student, faculty, and staff success in the role of Associate Director of Technical Services for the Auraria Library. This tri-institutional academic library serves the University of Colorado Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Community College of Denver. She is responsible for the library materials budget and the overall acquisitions, access, discovery, and assessment of purchased and curated collections in all formats (e.g. print and online books, journals, videos, databases, etc.). With the overarching goal of providing robust collections for teaching and research within existing budgets and staffing, her professional activities focus on exploring improvements and innovations that support campus needs, and articulating library value in the context of higher education missions.
