Liz Lorbeer is a librarian who is a champion of the publisher-vendor-librarian relationship.   She is currently responsible for overseeing the management of the biomedical collection at the Lister Hill Library of the Health Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Liz’s mentoring program with the University of Alabama’s School of Library and Information Studies offers students real-life library experience among the shelves and out in the field with vendors.    She is the past co-chair for the Publisher-Vendor-Librarian Interest Group for ALA-ALCTS and the principal investigator for three National Network of Libraries of Medicine Express Library Digitization Award grants.  She consults regularly for  publishers and vendors and is a distinguished member of The Academy of Health Information Professionals.
